With stunning picturesque WATER AND ISLAND VIEWS this small queen bedroom suite is tucked in the countryside but still convenient to beaches. PLUS its own kitchenette for light meals and en-suite powder bathroom (outdoor shower) make this rental great for hikers, nature lovers & other travelers looking for a cozy, tropical little hideaway while seeking outdoor adventure & maximizing your time as you visit the island of St John USVI. Additional private amenities include AC, TV, WiFi, and a generously sized private outdoor terrace just for you to enjoy the views with BBQ, table and chairs for dining, zero gravity chairs for reclining, and the outdoor shower. Easy parking off a fully paved road & convenient drive above Coral Bay restaurants/bars, shops, grocery, and all of St John beaches. This little efficiency is amply supplied and has a whole host of must-haves guests look for to make for light luggage packing and travel to St John worry free … so other than your clothes, sunglasses, hat, bathing suit, and SPF you don’t need to pack much at all!

ABOUT THE WATER VIEW. Take in some of the most stunning water and mountain views St. John has to offer right from your private deck sitting 500 feet above sea level. The villa faces the refreshing trade winds overlooking Coral Bay, Tortola and Norman Island of the BVIs, and down island at the Sir Francis Drake Channel towards the Baths of Virgin Gorda and Spanish Town. Spend the morning soaking up the sunrise with your coffee as you overlook the valley of Coral Bay at east-facing water and island views. Relax on the deck in the afternoon shade watching the colors of the setting sky sipping wine, watching the hawks soar above, and enjoying the breeze.

MINUTES AWAY. We are conveniently located to so many things to do in St John. All the popular beaches such as Maho Bay, Trunk Bay and Cinnamon Bay are within a few minutes’ drive from the villa. Great snorkeling is close by at Maho, Salt Pond and Haulover Bay. Hikes at popular Reef Bay and Ram’s Head are within 10 minutes as well as several others as we are within close proximity the Virgin Islands National Park. Coral Bay offers several dining options such as Skinny Legs, Rhumb Lines, Lime Out, and Miss Lucy’s. Two grocery stores are at the bottom of our hill. Note that St. John is not very walkable throughout the entire island. Please rent a vehicle for transportation.

– The villa is on a fully paved road (fully paved all the way across island).
– The neighborhood is completely residential.
– You will need a vehicle for this rental – preferably with high clearance in the event that you travel off roads that are not fully paved (such as a Jeep or SUV). Taxi service does not roam around the island; No uber/lyft.
– This rental has its own private entry door (digital keypad) & 1 designated parking space.

The best view on the island! So much to do and such beautiful beaches on St. John, but it’s hard leave the comfortable loungers on the deck! Quality craftsmanship and impeccable maintenance of the property are evident. The location was perfect for those that appreciate the quieter side of the island, but it’s still easy to get anywhere you want to go. The hosts are friendly and incredibly helpful. Five stars

Sally’s place was impeccable. The house is beautiful and so well designed. You can tell how much care was put into the place because of all the small details that were implemented. Our suite was very clean and spacious. Sally was very friendly and her husband was very helpful with finding the best snorkeling areas. The view as you can see in the photos is gorgeous, and looks just like in the pictures, if not better. there are is a nearby market and a few restaurants just down the road which was very convenient. Honestly it’s everything you might want on your trip to St John, and it’s definitely the much better side of the island as all the best beaches and trails are only 10min away. Highly recommend, don’t be afraid to book now.

Vista Bahia- A daytime view you have only seen in your dreams. At night, the privacy of your deck, trade winds in your face and an explosion of stars above. Truly a once in a lifetime experience as a seasoned traveler. John and Sally’s hospitality go unmatched! We returned our car rental 12/24 and they drove us on Christmas! to the ferry in Cruz Bay! Couldn’t have asked for a better host. They gave use inside knowledge to snorkel some of the best reef I have seen as a diver of much of the Caribbean. Now I understand it’s designation as a US National Park. Wow! These folks personally built this home from the foundation up and their perfect work showed through in the absolute enjoyment of every aspect of our stay. Would come back in a heartbeat! Thank you John and Sally!

My husband and I had a fabulous vacation in what we call “paradise.” The villa was perfect for our week vacation and had everything that we needed and more. We loved the deck and the outdoor shower and the extras such as beach chairs, cooler, ice packs and more for trips to the beach. This was our first trip to St John and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We loved Coral Bay and the view from the villa was spectacular. Sally’s place was AMAZING!! What a view!!! Like nothing you’ve ever seen. Everything was well thought out and Sally communicated very well! It was also close to everything in Coral Bay and not far from pretty much anywhere on the island. We would highly recommend!

We had an amazing time here! The view looked like a backdrop. There was so much wildlife and nature right off the deck. The outdoor shower was so cool. We mostly used the deck or were out and about but the room was comfortable for sleeping and was stocked with anything we might have forgot. I was so sad to leave! I highly recommend!!

To quote my wife upon arrival “oh wow! This even exceeds my expectation. This place is amazing!” Perfect private get-away for a couple. Literally watched the sun rise from bed. Only a few minutes to everything in Cora Bay. Sally was also very pleasant and responsive. Stop looking and book here!

Sally was a fabulous host with a fabulous listing. The property and views were absolutely gorgeous! Landscaping was immaculate and beautiful. Inside, everything my husband and I needed to have a comfy place to come back and rest after a day full of adventures. The outdoor shower was a nice touch, she provided all of the beach necessities so I didn’t have to pack any, and even offered suggestions to find some items we needed once we arrived. Every detail was considered and all communication was thorough and timely. We absolutely recommend!

Our stay at Vista Bahia will go down as one of our favorite vacations ever! The spectacular view off the deck was just as pictured. Parking was so easy – on a flat area, which most rentals do not offer. We had everything we needed for the beach: a cooler, chairs, a backpack, ice packs and pool noodles. We loved Coral Bay and were a very short drive from local restaurants and beaches. Definitely going back!

Wonderful stay! Check-in was easy, unit had everything you needed, and views from your deck were amazing! The hill up to Sally’s place is steep, but normal for St. John and a nice flat parking spot was much appreciated. Would stay here again!

Sally tells what a Superhost really means. The staying at Sally and John’s place made my solo trip to the USVI such a relaxed and amusing experience. I would highly recommend the location of Vista Bahia at Coral Bay, which is on the quite side of St John. For those who seeks freedom and peace, this is the right choice that separates you from all the crowds and noises of Cruz Bay. You will get the breathtaking view of Coral Bay from the patios with the garden plants around and kitties (5 cuties) running through. The place is super clean and well equipped with everything you need for traveling on the island, from beach supplies and snorkeling tools to basic cooking supplies and outdoor BBQ grill, just like how it’s been described. I thank Sally for being this thoughtful and considerate. Meanwhile, Sally is very responsive to my questions and needs, and she provides all the details/instructions very clear and at the right timing. The communication with her has been very pleasant and smooth as she cares about her guests’ experience and is always willing to help with flexibilities. Absolutely one of the best Airbnb experience for years!

We booked Sally’s place on a whim and I’m so glad we did. Great location and incredible views and a great breeze. We really loved watching the sunrise over the islands every morning with a cup of coffee. The place was clean and stocked with coolers, beach towels, chairs, noodles; anything you’d need for a good beach day which made the trip much easier. Fabulous hospitality here, we will be back!

John and I have both always loved traveling to the Caribbean. After traveling to St. John for over 15 years, we followed John's dream to move here. We built the villa ourselves, in a unique round design, adding our touches inside and out with hand craftsmanship.
