Located adjacent to the grounds of Cinnamon Bay Campground, the Rain Tree Café (not Raintree) is located on one of St John’s most famous beaches. The outdoor Café serves breakfast and dinner. A great way to be surrounded by nature during your St. John vacation is to combine one of the best breakfast offerings with a day at the beach or a fabulous hike at one of the most low key Saint John US Virgin Islands resorts.

Located on North Shore Road at Cinnamon Bay.
After you park, the Rain Tree Café is located on the left as you head toward the beach. It is in the main building by the reception area and concessions store.

* Sunday’s the Rain Tree Café breakfast hours are extended, until 11:30 am in high season (10am low season). 
** Though not a part of Rain Tree Café, another Cinnamon Bay food option for lunch and cocktails served on-site; However, the Cinnamon Bay food truck located a little closer to the beach with its own menu. Try their fantastic painkillers!

ABOUT THE RAIN TREE CAFÉ

The space is outdoors with a large high-ceilinged open-air pavilion. You order at the bar, take a condiment stand with a number, then pick your table of your choice surrounded by the establishment’s rainforest tropical atmosphere. The seating area is large with various size tables, so large groups can be accommodated. When food is ready, food runners will deliver your order to your table. We didn’t wait too long at all. Cold beverages were served in metal cups to help keep them chilled. We give a great review of Raintree Cafe at Cinnamon Bay and can’t wait to try it again!

• There is WiFi at this pavilion.
• When not offering food service, the restaurant allows the space to be used for casual use, such as: reading a book, planning your day’s itinerary on St John; social time with other travelers such as playing cards and board games (be sure to see the front desk first).
• The pavilion is currently also offering “Cinnamon Campground Chats, Traditional Music and Crafts” on Tuesdays from 5:30pm-6:30pm (free, open to all) held by Friends of the Virgin Islands National Park. An educational event about the island and supper is a perfect duo for dinning at the Rain Tree Café.
