Airport Transport of an Animal in Need to Stateside
Adopt a pet from the Virgin Islands! Or, if you are able to and have carry on room on your flight home, Pets with Wings is a rescue program that helps re-home pets in need to the mainland and works with shelters who accept the pets in their care. Someone meets you at the STT airport and at your destination airport to make it seamless for you. Please reach out to Pets with Wings Humane Society of St. Thomas or the two phone numbers on the flyer for more details, and also see this website for states that participate. The shelter has declared a euthanasia crisis and need all the help they can to fly animals off island. It is free to you, they have people at both airports for drop off and pick up, and you are SAVING A LIFE!
St John Wildlife and Donkey Rescue Incorporated
A charitable organization that provides care for sick, abandoned, orphaned animals on island. Should you come across an animal who may need emergency assistance contact one of the numbers here. There is no clinic that takes in these animals – it is local volunteers who are the resources to respond to wildlife in need. You can also donate or volunteer your time here.
